The program is intended for users that receive large volumes of mail, and organize it into multiple folders. It scans your mail folders and learns what mail is sorted into which folder, and automatically suggests a folder for new mail in your inbox. The program does not move mail automatically, but offers a new toolbar button that displays the suggested folder for a selected mail item, and allows you to move the message with a single click. If MailQuickFile suggests the wrong folder, just move the message into the correct destination folder, and the program will learn instantly from its mistake. Useful, but rather simplistic, as it offers no configuration, or options to exclude specific folders from the suggestions.

The download includes three files: one adds a new option to your main menu (you select all the features from this entry), another adds a new toolbar (with major categories offered as buttons on the toolbar), while the third lets you invoke the utilities with a click of your right-mouse button.

The utilities are well organized in categories. There are over 24 options for tweaking or working with comments: you can copy the cell’s formula to a comment (for a cell selection or all cells on a worksheet); align the comment text left, center, or right; or autofit the dimensions of the comment box to the text it contains (a feature I find particularly handy).

In the “Rows and Columns” category, there are utilities that can duplicate, conditionally remove, autofit, change the size of, or color rows or columns. It can also eliminate blank rows and columns.

Looking to work on multiple cells? The utility collection lets you select cells by background color, value (number or text), or those within the range you specify. You can select unique values or duplicates, too. Also in this category are tools for working within a range (select or simply move to the first/last row/column of a range, for example),

Text utilities can change the case of text, insert or delete characters, and fill blank cells with the value you specify. Other utilities insert row or column numbers, change a date’s format, add a day, month, or year to a value, convert measures (meters to miles, grams and ounces), show or hide Excel interface elements (such as scroll bars), and e-mail the active workbook or worksheet.
