SpecFlow-Convert plain-text into .net unit tests

http://specflow.org/specflow/workflow.aspx

There are two driving intentions behind SpecFlow:
    * visual studio .net addin – create unit test
    * We believe in the simplicity of plain-text feature specifications
    * We want to provide a seamless developer experience by leveraging existing infrastructure and frictionless integration into the .Net platform

From these intentions we derived the following design decisions:

    * We strive to be fully compatible with the Gherkin language
    * We allow bindings (step definitions) in any .NET language
    * We use existing unit-testing frameworks as the runtime for scenario execution

Realization:

SpecFlow converts the feature files into unit test fixture classes. The test inside the test fixture classes are corresponding to the scenarios you have in the feature file, and contain call-outs to the step definitions
SpecFlow currently consists of three parts:

    * feature file converter into test fixtures (integrated into Visual Studio through a single-file generator)
    * runtime framework (handles, step bindings, events and tracing)
    * NUnit integration

Plans for the near future:

    * Provide a converter that can be run outside of Visual Studio
    * Integration with MSTest
    * Extensibility for grammars in other human languages (e.g. German)

Performance Analysis of Logs (PAL) Tool

http://www.codeplex.com/PAL

Ever have a performance problem, but don't know what performance counters to collect or how to analyze them? The PAL (Performance Analysis of Logs) tool is a new and powerful tool that reads in a performance monitor counter log (any known format) and analyzes it using complex, but known thresholds (provided). The tool generates an HTML based report which graphically charts important performance counters and throws alerts when thresholds are exceeded. The thresholds are originally based on thresholds defined by the Microsoft product teams and members of Microsoft support, but continue to be expanded by this ongoing project. This tool is not a replacement of traditional performance analysis, but it automates the analysis of performance counter logs enough to save you time. This is a VBScript and requires Microsoft LogParser (free download).

Window Size- developer tool to set predefined window sizes

http://www.markuswelz.de/freeware/index.html#card4anchor

You want to test how your program or web site looks on a screen with lower resolution than your's?
You can change your screen's resolution of course. But it is probably more convenient just to resize your program's or browser's window to the desired width and height. All you have to do is to select the desired size and then click on the big button. The next window that becomes the forground window (by clicking on that window or it's taskbar button) will be resized.

New in version 2.2: A function to restore the original size of each window which has been resized with WindowSize. This will, however, not work if WindowSize has meanwhile been stopped and restarted.
New in version 2.1:
1. Add a border in order to get the correct client area size for a maximized window.
2. Subtract the size of the taskbar.

HxD – Freeware Hex Editor and Disk Editor

http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/

xD is a carefully designed and fast hex editor which, additionally to raw disk editing and modifying of main memory (RAM), handles files of any size.

The easy to use interface offers features such as searching and replacing, exporting, checksums/digests, insertion of byte patterns, a file shredder, concatenation or splitting of files, statistics and much more.

Editing works like in a text editor with a focus on a simple and task-oriented operation, as such functions were streamlined to hide differences that are purely technical.
For example, drives and memory are presented similar to a file and are shown as a whole, in contrast to a sector/region-limited view that cuts off data which potentially belongs together. Drives and memory can be edited the same way as a regular file including support for undo. In addition memory-sections define a foldable region and inaccessible sections are hidden by default.

Furthermore a lot of effort was put into making operations fast and efficient, instead of forcing you to use specialized functions for technical reasons or arbitrarily limiting file sizes. This includes a responsive interface and progress indicators for lengthy operations.

InstEd – MSI Editor alternative to Microsoft's Orca

http://www.instedit.com/home

InstEd makes working with files fast and easy.  If you use Orca, you will love InstEd. If you use some of the more expensive tools, you may find that InstEd makes you more productive for the bread and butter packaging tasks.

    * Build cabs from the Media table.  Right click a Media table entry to see the files belonging to that cab, or to rebuild the cab.
    * Multi-file editing using tabs. Built from the ground up to handle multiple files, everything from searching to validation can be applied to more than one file at a time.
    * Easy navigation. All relationships within the database are displayed and clickable for easy navigation.
    * Accurate editing. Changes to a field are optionally cascaded to all dependent fields. So, for example, renaming a component can have all references updated.
    * Change highlighting. All changes to an mst are highlighted. Msi files can be compared to highlight the differences. And by comparing an msi to itself while the msi is being edited, change tracking can be performed on an msi.
    * Easy validation. Validation profiles allow full flexibility to apply ICEs from more than one CUB to many files at once, allowing for easy Quality Assurance of many files at once.

SVN-Monitor-Subversion Monitor

http://www.svnmonitor.com/default.shtml

   * Perform all your commonly-used svn-actions (update, commit, revert, diff …)    * Keep your source up-to-date with minimum conflicts and manual merges
    * Browse and search the svn log from your computer while offline (disconnected from the svn repository)
    * Be constantly aware of your local source modifications, without using any Visual Studio plugin
    * Keep a local updated mirror of the repository, while not affecting your changes, without the need to commit
    * Monitor the source for certain events
    * Receive notifications of any kind (balloon popups, tray icons, email, sounds, …) when certain events occur

But I'm using TortoiseSVN!

Very good. You'll continue using it.

SVN-Monitor acts as a front-end to TortoiseSVN for all your projects. Instead of using Windows Explorer for accessing TortoiseSVN, you can easily access it from your system-tray.
What is a monitor?

A monitor is a rule, very similar to an Outlook rule:

A definition of WHEN and WHAT to do.

For example: when my project has been updated (someone committed something), pop-up a tray-balloon notification.

Another example: when James has added files to the "Resources\Images" folder in the "www" project, download these files to a local folder in my desktop.

DeltaProd is a project management tool

http://www.deltaprod.free.fr/html.en/accueil.html

In fact, if you look at all of the project management tools, you realise that they do not all cover the same features.
So, without going into the definition of project management, you must ask yourself what you need to follow up your project, or more precisely what a project management tool should allow you to follow.
The answer to this question depends of course on the nature of the project.
We will concentrate here on the issue of IT projects, which is the main purpose of DeltaProd, but rules described may be applied to most of project management cases.
